barsket (bär’skäet)

1. Uncouth interjection; term of derision, often preceded by the prefix bladi*, i.e. bladibarsket.
2. Probably a mangling of ‘blasted’, ‘bastard’, and ‘bugger’.
3. An all-purpose expression of acute annoyance, as in ‘damn!’ or ‘blast it!’
